Reverberation and noise control

Sound-absorbing panels

Sound-absorbing materials designed to reduce indoor noise and reverberation through an interconnected open-cell structure.

  • Open-cell structure
  • Reduces reverberation and echo
  • Effective at medium and high frequencies
  • Fire-retardant and self-extinguishing options
Description

How does sound-absorbing foam work?

When sound reaches the material, waves enter the open cells and gradually dissipate, converting sound energy into heat through air friction within the pores.

In closed-cell foam, air cannot circulate, so effective sound absorption does not occur. Airflow resistance is a key acoustic performance parameter.

Types

Sound-absorbing solutions

01Acoustic polyurethane

Formulated to reduce noise and reverberation, balancing performance and cost.

02Melamine resin (Basotect®)

High absorption and low weight, ideal for ceilings and spaces needing a lightweight, effective solution.

03High absorption for music

Greater thickness and specialist shapes for recording studios and music spaces, covering a wide frequency spectrum.
