Complete sound control

Anechoic chambers

High-precision absorbent materials for sound study and control. Technical foam linings that eliminate almost all reflections in measurement environments.

  • Absorption across a wide frequency range
  • Highly efficient pyramidal geometry
  • Self-extinguishing materials
  • Custom design for each project
Description

What is an anechoic chamber?

A room lined with absorbers that prevent reflections from walls, ceiling and floor, creating an acoustically neutral environment for precise sound measurement without echoes.

Used in laboratories, research centres, industry and acoustic engineering to analyse sound sources, equipment and devices without interference.

Requirements

Material requirements

  • Open-cell structure with controlled airflow
  • Balanced density, neither too low nor too high
  • High absorption over a wide frequency range
  • Stable, predictable acoustic performance
  • Fire safety properties (self-extinguishing)
Geometry

Pyramidal shapes maximise absorption

Anechoic chamber components are shaped to maximise absorption. Pyramidal geometry is most common: it increases the waves' path through the material, improving absorption and reducing reflections.

Other geometries can be manufactured according to the operating frequency:

  • Absorbent cones
  • Absorbent wedges
  • Elements customised to the frequency
Applications

Where they are used
