ESD protection for electronic components

Antistatic foam

A technical material designed to protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge (ESD), preventing damage during handling, storage and transport.

  • Electrostatic discharge protection (ESD)
  • Controlled resistivity
  • Lightweight and easy to cut
  • Compatible with industrial packaging
Description

How does antistatic foam work?

In industrial and logistics settings, friction between materials, staff clothing or contact with certain surfaces can generate charges of thousands of volts. Despite their low current, these charges can damage microcomponents such as chips, integrated circuits and electronic boards.

ESD foam is made from materials with controlled resistivity that gradually dissipate electrostatic charges, preventing build-up.
