Conductive / Antistatic Foams

Electronic components sensitive to static electricity can be irreversibly damaged by discharges generated by personnel during handling. The simple friction of clothing or walking on certain floors can generate discharges of thousands of volts (low intensity) that would destroy a chip when touched. Even with a protective circuit, the electronic component can be damaged during handling and packaging.

Antistatic foams are materials that contain reduced resistivity. These foams allow the controlled dissipation of the electrical charges generated, thus preventing the accumulation of high electrical potentials, which could damage the equipment, even when packaged.
